Peer Review Process

Overview

The International Journal of Pharmacy Research and Medical Health (IJPRMH) follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and scientific validity of all published articles.

Type of Peer Review

IJPRMH adopts a double-blind peer review system, where:

      • The identities of authors are concealed from reviewers

      • The identities of reviewers are concealed from authors

This ensures an unbiased and fair evaluation process.

Initial Editorial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial screening by the editorial office to check for:

      • Scope relevance

      • Basic scientific quality

      • Plagiarism (using standard plagiarism detection tools)

      • Compliance with submission guidelines

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria are rejected without external review.

Peer Review Process

    1. Assignment to Editor
      The manuscript is assigned to an appropriate editor based on subject expertise.

    2. Reviewer Selection
      A minimum of two independent reviewers with relevant expertise are invited.

    3. Review Criteria
      Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

      • Originality and novelty

      • Scientific accuracy and methodology

      • Clinical or practical relevance

      • Clarity of presentation

      • Ethical compliance

    4. Reviewer Recommendations
      Reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:

      • Accept

      • Minor Revision

      • Major Revision

      • Reject

Decision Process

The final decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief based on:

      • Reviewer comments

      • Scientific merit of the manuscript

      • Editorial judgment

Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewer comments.

Revision Process

      • Authors are required to submit a revised manuscript along with a point-by-point response to reviewers

      • Revised manuscripts may be sent for re-review if necessary

Review Timeline

      • Initial screening: 3–5 days

      • Peer review: 2–4 weeks

      • Final decision: 4–6 weeks (average)

Ethical Standards

IJPRMH adheres to strict ethical publishing practices:

      • Confidentiality of submitted manuscripts is maintained

      • Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest

      • Any form of plagiarism or misconduct leads to rejection

Confidentiality

All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share or use unpublished information for personal advantage.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest and recuse themselves if necessary.

Appeals and Complaints

Authors may appeal editorial decisions by contacting the editorial office with valid justification. All appeals are reviewed objectively.

IJPRMH acknowledges the valuable contribution of reviewers in maintaining the quality and credibility of the journal.
