Instructions for Authors
The International Journal of Public Research in Medicine and Health (IJPRMH) is multi-disciplinary international journal which publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, short communications, and other scholarly contributions in the field of medicine, public health, and allied sciences. Manuscripts will undergo a peer-review process to determine their suitability for publication, provided they fulfill the requirements outlined below.
After peer review, manuscripts may be returned to authors for revision along with reviewer’s and/or editor’s comments. Authors are expected to address all comments carefully before resubmission.

Author Guidelines

International Journal of Public Research in Medicine and Health (IJPRMH)

The International Journal of Public Research in Medicine and Health (IJPRMH) is a peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary medical journal publishing high-quality original research, reviews, systematic reviews, case reports, case series, short communications, and letters to the editor. Authors are requested to carefully follow the guidelines below before submission.

Peer Review Process

The International Journal of Public Research in Medicine and Health (IJPRMH) follows a double-blind peer review system to ensure transparency, fairness, and academic rigor. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers, and decisions are based on both their recommendations and the editorial board’s assessment.

Steps in the Review Process
  1. Initial Submission Check

    • The editorial office verifies that the manuscript complies with journal guidelines, ethical standards, and plagiarism limits.

    • Manuscripts not meeting requirements may be returned to authors for correction before peer review.

  2. Editorial Assessment

    • The Editor-in-Chief or a designated Associate Editor conducts a preliminary evaluation of the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and quality.

    • Manuscripts that do not align with the journal’s scope may be rejected at this stage.

  3. Double-Blind Peer Review

    • Eligible manuscripts are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.

    • Both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure impartiality.

    • Reviewers assess scientific validity, ethical compliance, clarity, originality, and contribution to the field.

  4. Reviewers’ Recommendations

    • Reviewers may recommend:

      • Acceptance without revision

      • Minor revision

      • Major revision

      • Rejection

    • Authors are provided with constructive feedback to improve their manuscript.

  5. Editorial Decision

    • The Editor-in-Chief considers reviewers’ feedback and makes the final decision.

    • In cases of conflicting reviews, a third reviewer or an editorial board member may be consulted.

  6. Revision & Resubmission

    • Authors must address reviewers’ comments systematically and resubmit the revised manuscript.

    • Revised versions may undergo further peer review, depending on the extent of changes.

  7. Final Acceptance & Proofing

    • Once accepted, manuscripts undergo copyediting, typesetting, and proofreading.

    • Authors are given a chance to approve final proofs before publication.

  8. Publication

    • Articles are published online under Open Access (CC BY License) and assigned a DOI for permanent accessibility.

General Submission Requirements

  • Submission Format: Microsoft Word (DOC/DOCX) only.

  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, size 12, 1.5 line spacing, justified text.

  • Referencing Style: Vancouver style.

  • Abstract: Structured, 250–300 words with 3–5 keywords.

  • Figures/Tables: Maximum 6 figures and 6 tables per article. Each must be cited in the text and include a title and legend. High-quality images only (JPEG/PNG/TIFF).

  • Ethics: All studies involving human/animal subjects must clearly mention Ethics Committee/IRB approval and informed consent (where applicable). Case reports/series must include patient consent.

  • Plagiarism Policy: Submissions with more than 15% similarity will not be considered.

  • Peer Review: All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.

1. Original Research Articles

  • Word Limit: 3000–3500 words (excluding abstract, references, tables/figures).

  • Abstract: Structured (Background, Objectives, Methods, Results, Conclusion).

  • References: Up to 40.

  • Structure:

    • Title page (Title, Author details, Affiliations, Corresponding Author)

    • Abstract & Keywords

    • Introduction

    • Methods (with ethics approval statement)

    • Results

    • Discussion

    • Conclusion

    • Acknowledgements (if any)

    • References (Vancouver style)

2. Review Articles
  • Word Limit: 4000–6000 words.

  • Abstract: Structured.

  • References: Up to 60.

  • Structure:

    • Main Review (subheadings as appropriate)

    • Conclusion & Future Directions

    • References

3. Systematic Reviews & Meta-Analyses
  • Word Limit: 4000–6000 words.

  • Abstract: Structured (Background, Objectives, Methods [with PRISMA compliance], Results, Conclusion).

  • References: Up to 60.

  • PRISMA Flow Diagram: Mandatory.

  • Structure:

    • Title page

    • Abstract & Keywords

    • Introduction

    • Methods (Search strategy, Eligibility criteria, Data extraction, Statistical analysis, Ethics statement if applicable)

    • Results (with PRISMA diagram, tables, figures)

4. Case Reports
  • Word Limit: 1500–2000 words.

  • Abstract: Structured.

  • References: Up to 15.

  • Consent: Written informed consent from patient/legal guardian required.

  • Structure:

    • Discussion

5. Case Series
  • Word Limit: 2000–2500 words.

  • Abstract: Structured.

  • References: Up to 20.

  • Consent: Required for each case.

  • Structure: Similar to case report, but with multiple case presentations.

6. Short Communications
  • Word Limit: 1200–1500 words.

  • Abstract: Structured.

  • References: Up to 15.

  • Structure: Condensed format highlighting significant findings, pilot studies, or preliminary data.

7. Letters to the Editor
  • Word Limit: 800–1000 words.

  • Abstract: Not required.

  • References: Up to 10.

  • Content: Comments on recent articles, brief observations, or academic debate.

Additional Notes
  • Acknowledgements: Mention contributions, funding, or assistance.

  • Conflict of Interest: Mandatory disclosure by all authors.

  • Copyright: Authors grant IJPRMH a license to publish, archive, and index their work.
